Vegetables and produce
Armstrong Asparagus Farm grows the crop in its name. So does Armstrong Farm Co., known for asparagus and strawberries. Pilgrims Produce, Good ‘n’ Plenty Produce, Bellman Specialty Produce, and ASG Fresh Produce round out the vegetable growers. Green Lion Farms grows leafy greens and microgreens year round in climate-controlled greenhouses on Hullcar Road. Sleepy Hollow Gardens grows produce and flowers.
Berries and fruit
Iron Root Farm is a u-pick berry farm with multiple varieties. Moore’s Berry Farm and Eagle Rock Berry Farm grow berries too. In fall, The Pumpkin Patch opens its family-owned pumpkin and squash fields for u-pick.
Eggs, poultry, and meat
Rieger Farms is known for fresh daily-graded eggs. Rosebank Farms raises pasture-raised chickens and turkeys. Ponderosa Poultry and Okanagan Hatchery cover birds from the start. Black Cat Crossing Farm in Spallumcheen has free-range eggs and pasture-raised lamb. The Small Scale Meat Producers Association represents local meat producers.
Grains and beans
Fieldstone Organics sells organic whole grains, legumes, and seeds from its Armstrong granary. Wallace Spring Farms grows kidney beans and other dried beans, and sells them canned. Rogers Foods runs its grain mill right in Armstrong.
Flowers, plants, and trees
CC Bloom Flower Farm pairs a flower farm with a wedding venue. Early Bird Blooms is a women-owned flower farm with delivery. Hartwood North Farm, Muri Floral & Decor, and Sparrow Grass Field & Flower grow more local blooms. For plants, Jenny’s Garden runs a small roadside nursery, and PRT Armstrong Nursery grows seedling trees on a commercial scale.
Honey and specialty
Armstrong Apiaries and The Okanagan Honey Co. keep the bees. Okanagan Bee Hives builds hives and sells beekeeping supplies. Mycoregenix farms mushrooms.
